Watch: PCA Joins 40/40 Club
The 40/40 Club was created 38 years and one day ago when Jose Canseco swiped his 40th bag for the Athletics, and now its membership has swelled to seven. Pete Crow-Armstrong walked to open Wednesday’s game, then stole second with ease to become the first Cubs player in history with 40 or more homers and steals in the same season.

While he didn’t remove the base like Canseco, nor did the Cubs pause the game, the crowd gave PCA an extended ovation that had him looking a little emotional as he took it in. As an interesting aside, both his 40th homer and 40th stolen base came against Marlins starter Tyler Phillips.
