PCA Earns NL Player of the Month Honors for June

We have already discussed Pete Crow-Armstrong‘s historic June, so there’s little need to rehash all of it. Still, it’s worth noting that MLB saw fit to award him as the National League’s Player of the Month for his exploits. In addition to his stellar defense, PCA slashed .381/.468/.781 with 11 homers, 21 runs scored, 20 RBI, and eight steals. He led MLB in OBP, slugging, wRC+, wOBA (.517), fWAR (3.1), and hits (40) for the month while finishing second in average and homers. Wild stuff.

July probably won’t be quite as memorable, but he did start it off pretty well with a home run on Wednesday. Man, this guy is fun to watch.

Junior Caminero was named AL Player of the Month, Drew Rasmussen earned AL Pitcher of the Month honors, and Kazuma Okamoto was the AL Rookie of the Month. Logan Webb was the NL Pitcher of the Month and TJ Rumfield was the NL Rookie of the Month. Jacob Latz (AL) and Jhoan Duran (NL) were named Reliever of the Month in their leagues.
